Painted as part of my Here Before, Hereafter collection, this piece holds a special place in my heart—a view that has stayed constant through all of life’s changes. Black cockatoos overlook Corio Bay, my home. Standing on the You Yangs—fondly called the Lonely Mountain by me since I was a child—this painting brings to mind the feeling of looking out over your hometown, with the wind buffeting your ears and the sun in your eyes.
